Neo-con timekeeping, as it were.


Oh, great ... it's spreading:

General David Richards, commander of NATO troops in Afghanistan, has just put a best-before date on the alliance's military mission in Afghanistan: six months.

Gen Richards said the country was at a tipping point, and warned that Afghans would likely switch their allegiance to resurgent Taliban militants if there were no visible improvements in people's lives in the next six months.


Six months. Or as we like to call that span of time these days, one Friedman.
